BRIEF

Context

Bank of Chain (BoC) aimed to disrupt the traditional financial landscape with a decentralised, “risk-free” wealth management platform built on the blockchain. However, DeFi is notorious for complex interfaces that deter mainstream adoption. BoC needed a landing page and responsive platform that clearly communicated their unique value proposition while simplifying the user experience.

As the Interaction and Visual Design Lead, I spearheaded the transformation of BoC’s platform into a visually engaging and user-friendly experience. This involved translating complex DeFi concepts into intuitive user flows, crafting a visually stunning interface that resonated with a tech-savvy audience, and ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.

SOLUTION

Design & UI: The Key to BoC’s User-Friendly DeFi Experience

The redesigned landing page and platform centered on these key design principles:

  1. Clarity: Complex DeFi concepts were broken down into easily digestible explanations, using clear language, visual aids, and intuitive data visualisation

  2. Trustworthiness: A clean, professional aesthetic incorporating security badges, transparent fee structures, and real-time performance metrics fostered confidence in BoC’s platform.

The UI design was meticulously crafted to resonate with a tech-savvy audience while maintaining a sense of approachability:

    • Dark Theme: A predominantly dark color palette provided a modern backdrop, allowing key elements to pop with vibrant accents.
    • Vibrant Colors: Strategic use of bold colors, such as neon purple and pink, highlighted calls-to-action and interactive elements.
    • Glassmorphism: Subtle glassmorphic effects added depth and visual interest to various UI components, creating a sense of futuristic sophistication.
    • Gradients: Tasteful gradients in background elements and interactive buttons brought a sense of dynamism and energy to the design.
    • Tech-Savvy Style: Custom icons, futuristic typography, and subtle animations reinforced the platform’s cutting-edge technology.
