I’m Mel, a Digital Product Designer
I’m passionate about creating products that help people to have a better experience being who they are: human beings.
I started my career as a UX/UI Designer; however, experience has led me to Product Design. For over two years, I’ve worked on many projects in diverse areas. My focus has always been on users and the business.
To give back to the community a bit of everything I learned, I create content about Technology and UX Design on social networks. I also write articles on my blog, provide UX/UI mentoring and participate as a speaker in conferences and workshops.
Design Thinking Is My Mindset
I like defining myself as a design thinker because Design Thinking is my principal methodology both in my life and my career. I enjoy having an active role in every stage of the process, from user research to ideation workshops, the creation of prototypes, and usability tests.
Even before getting into UX, design in all its forms has always been my main interest: graphic design, fashion design, interior design, events design, brands design. I’m also a makeup artist and a photographer. I’ve learned a lot about the responsibility and function of design as a discipline. This has allowed me to face each project with a holistic approach.

As a member of the program, I help women from the UK and around the world to grow in technology. I'm driven to create supportive spaces that connect, empower, and make us visible.
I know that the professional path of a woman in IT could be a challenge, but together we can do more and better. Google Techmakers is a safe environment to empower our talent, acquire new skills and share knowledge.
